What Fire Department?
Responserack keeps track of what user accounts (e.g. Google account) maps to a Responserack membership of a department. This provides simple login to your membership of a Fire Department on Responserack.
Sometimes (perhaps on a mobile phone after having been using a computer) Responserack does not recognize your current login, and says so. Typically this occurs when an alternative login was used, e.g. a personal Google account or phone login after a department or work account was used for the original login.
Note: the quick fix is to send the member another invitation.
Here is the problem ...
Account | Responserack | Outcome |
chief@example-fire.org work account | Logs in to Example Fire on Computer | Successful login ... |
john.smith@gmail.com personal account | Failed to Log In, unrecognized by Responserack | "What Fire Department?" login failure |
What Fire Department?
When Responserack does not recognize your current login, i.e. if cannot determine what department you are associated with, it tells you so.
How to resolve "What Fire Department?"
The easiest way to resolve this problem is to send your self, or have sent, a new invitation to your membership on Responserack. Then go to the device having the login problem and click it there. This will associate your second account with your Responserack fire department membership, and teach Responserack the fire department and member for that account.
Note: the quick fix is to send the member another invitation.
