Predefined Localities / Zip Codes

Localities and Zip Codes are required by NFIRS (even for latitude / longitude locations) and they are also interesting when reporting on incidents by location. Some departments want to inspect their incidents by locality, perhaps reporting to a board or council, and so Responserack compares selected localities and zip codes to the pre-configured list.

Google Maps doesn't always set the correct locality or zip code, and/or you might wish to be more specific, so update these values to organize when needed.

Note: There is no problem if a locality is not one of the pre-configured values, or a zip code not one of the pre-configured values. Simply double check the values are as you expect/intend. Further, please feel free to request additional localities and/or zip codes for your configuration.

Commonly Used Localities / Zip Codes

When editing locations the department's pre-configured localities and pre-configured zip codes are available for entering. Tap the pre-configured option in order to set that value, and then press "done" to save the update.
